Development of my Article
with my article I wanted to write about the Durham student that had drown in the river but after looking at other regional magazine it didn't really fit in with the article they showed as they looked for story which would be relevant for a whole month rather than a news story.
I original wanted the page to have 3 columns.
I put at the bottom Durham Magazine, issue number and page number to follow on from the contence page.
change the color scheme from read on black to pink on white to appeal more to a female audience as the red on black made the article look like it was out of a rock magazine.
Changed my article idea also to fit in with my aspirational upper middle class female target audience by doing an article about an interview on a local fashion shop in ''Durham Andersons of Durham'' this was because when I emailed editors about the articles that they have in the magazine they say that as there a regional magazine they have article that will last the whole month and stay relevant to the reader however with a news story which I had it wound't really fit in with this as it won't stay relevant for a whole months.
